GHG Calculator

Calculates emissions intensity in gCO₂e/MJ, converts it into kgCO₂e/MWh, and shows a breakdown by stage: production/preparation, terminals and transport. For coal, combustion emissions can also be included.

Hub: —
Product selection sets default LHV/moisture and type: biomass or coal.
Affects “per tonne” values in the table and batch information.
Affects the route preset. You can still adjust km/NM manually afterwards.
Route presets — set distances
Select a preset, then fine-tune km/NM for the specific route.
DMT = t(AR) × (1 − M). Example: M=10% → 1 t AR = 0.90 DMT.
If you have LHV on a dry basis, an AR/Dry switch can be added.
Emission intensity in gCO₂e/MJ does not depend on volume, but batch totals do.
Enter your own grid mix / GO value. Important for pellet plants.
MVP value. For audits, use factors required by the applicable methodology/system.
For biomass: used to calculate savings. For coal: usually N/A.
Biomass: usually 0 (biogenic). Coal: you may use e.g. 94 gCO₂e/MJ, or your own factor.
If a stage does not apply, leave 0.
For example drying with gas/oil. In this MVP it is calculated using a fixed factor.
Transport is calculated using average tkm factors in this MVP. For audits, use the applicable methodology/system.
Example: port + inland terminal = 2.

Disclaimer: This is an MVP calculator for quick estimation. For audit-ready calculations, emission factors, allocation rules and the scope of stages must follow the applicable system methodology, such as KZR INiG / ISCC / SURE, and verification rules.
